July 6, 2007 - The Executive leadership of the Wisconsin Mandingo Association of Milwaukee, Inc (WIMAM) headed by His
Excellency Mamadee Konneh and his entire membership wish to congratulate Mr. Morris Kromah, current Secretary General of
WIMAM for his election as FELMAUSA Secretary General.

Upon the delegation return home from the historic convention in Philadelphia, messages of congratulation continued to rain on
Mr. Kromah. Community members and friends paid visits and phone calls continue to come in from other residents.

The historic convention brought together Mandingoes from across the United States, Europe and Liberia. It began on Friday,
June 29th and concluded Sunday, July 1st. The WIMAM members expressed excitement that one of their own has been
elevated to the national level which is very vital to their community participation in the rebuilding of their home
country.                            

At the conference, Mr. Kromah won the FELMAUSA General Secretary position with 69.44 % of the votes.  Other officials
elected include Mr. Mohammed Richmond Konneh of Philly, President, Mrs. Mamiata Jabateh- Sirleaf of North Carolina as Vice
President for Administration; Messrs Mamadee Bangalee Sesay of Minnesota as Vice President for Operations, Mohammed
Sheriff of North Carolina as Financial Secretary and Haja Massa Keita of New York as Treasurer. Former Liberian army Chief
of Staff, Abraham Kromah was elected Chairman of the FELMAUSA Board of Directors

WIMAM Refutes Press Release

Meanwhile, the leadership of WIMAM has refuted claims by some community members that WIMAM boycotted the convention in
Philadelphia. The claim, in question was published by the Limany and wimam.net websites by Mr. Abraham Kenneh and his so-
called executive subordinates, in which they alleged that the WIMAM boycotted the just-ended successful convention in
Philadelphia.

WIMAM wishes to clarify that it was fully represented at the convention headed by its President Mr. Mamadee Konneh, who was
accompanied by Morris Manjue Kromah, Secretary General of WIMAM, Mohammed M. Bility, Public relationship officer, Mr.
Abraham A.S. Bility, former speaker, Mr. Laye Musa Kromah and wife Diaka Diaby, Mawa Toure, and Macire Kourouma.  

WIMAM Extends Olive Branch to Abraham Kenneh, et al

The leadership of WIMAM continues to encourage Mr. Abraham Kenneh, and his corps including Mohammed Fumba Bility,
Mahamud J.D Kromah and Musa Papa Konneh to stop using the WIMAM name to run their propaganda messages. WIMAM,
which is the official representation of the people of Wisconsin, encourages Mr. Kenneh and his friends to join us in our effort to
uplift and unite our community under one umbrella and to empower our community in the area of education, healthcare, human
rights advocacy and social welfares.  

In this public forum, the leadership of WIMAM will like to inform everyone that our administration is the legitimate administration
created through democratic elections supported by our people, including some of the same people who are now running
propaganda against our administration.       

WIMAM wishes to state clear that our participation in the just-ended convention was aimed at fostering harmony among our
communities around the world, and building a strong union which will represent all Liberian Mandingoes. Our participation is
part of a noble cause which will bring enormous benefits of all of us including our brothers who now trying to bring disunity in
our community.

Our participation in the cause of building our community is in line with our goal as stated in our organization constitution. “We,
members of a community of Mandingo descend residing in the State of Wisconsin have realized that we need to unite, work
together, share our available resources, care for the well being of one another, promote and maintain our cultural values. In
this regard we have organized ourselves as the Wisconsin Mandingo Association of Milwaukee (WIMAM) and have agreed to
establish this Constitution as the organic law by which we pledged abide and be governed.”
