Wallace Jr. at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia.

The delegation includes Mr. Mohammed Bin Ghannam, Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and Secretary General
of Al Maktown Foundation and Mr. Hamdan Hamid also of the Foundation.

They were accompanied to the Foreign Ministry by former Charge d'Affaires of the Liberian embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,
Mr. Ziadan Sherriff.

Mr. Bin Ghannam who is also the representative of the Prince of Dubai informed the Liberian Foreign Minister that they were in
the country to assist Liberia in its human resource development endeavors.

He spoke of the desire to build more secondary schools in Liberia with focus on science education. He disclosed that the
project will begin with the construction of a school supported entirely by his foundation at a place to be identified by the
Liberian government.

Mr. Ghannam said Liberian science teachers will be recruited to run the project for a prescribed period before turning it over to
the Liberian government.

He noted that his organization also runs over 34 similar schools in Africa, which includes Nigeria, Burkina Faso, The Gambia
and Senegal.

Foreign Minister, Amb. George Wallace, in a response, expressed appreciation for the project and described education as one
of the pillars of Pres. Johnson-Sirleaf government. He said they're committed to the education of all Liberians especially the
youth, who he classified as the invaluable assets of the country.

He said government current free and compulsory education campaign is an indication of its committment and welcomed the
UAE initiative promising his government full support

The delegation will also meet with Education Minister, Dr. Joseph Korto before returning to the UAE.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission, Mr. Jean de Dieu Samba, at the head of a five-man delegation,

program of Liberia.

to develope a strategy of support to Liberia in the next four years.
