Biography of Morris Manjue Kromah

 

Honorable Morris Manjue Kromah was born in southeastern Liberia, West African. He is a graduate of Tabou II Refugee high School, a Frontline Education in Ivory Coast under the United Nations. He immigrated to the United States in late 2000 because of the 16 years civil war in his home country of Liberia.

He attended Milwaukee Business training Institute where he graduated with Diploma in Administrative Medical Assistant with highest academic honor and a GPA of 3.8.   Later, he attended and graduated with Associate degree in Medical Assisting program in 2004 from Bryant & Stratton College with 3.95 GPA.   Mr. Kromah was on the Dean’s List for four semesters in the roll, student of the month, president of Bryant & Stratton medical Assistants Club. He received Beta Sigma Chi award for his role in student affairs, outstanding academic record and his community services.  He is now pursuing career in Nursing at the Cardinal Stretch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Morris Kromah is the currently the elected president of the Wisconsin Mandingo Association of Milwaukee (WIMAM), a community base organization catering to people of Mandingo descends that reside in the State of Wisconsin. Prior, Mr. Kromah assisted in founding the largest and mother Liberia Mandingo organization in the United States of America called Federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations in the United States of America (FELMAUSA), a non-profit organization who objectives are to preserve the Mandingo culture, protect and promote the interest of the Mandingo communities at home and abroad, encourage dialogue and activities indicative of peace, unity and reconciliation, form collaborative alliances with other Mandingo organizations operating within Liberia, promote, celebrate and maintain our common heritage, culture and traditions. 

Mr. Morris M. Kromah is the first and former General Secretary of the federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations in the United of America (FELMAUSA).  He was elected in June 2007 during the All Mandingo National convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that gave birth to noble organization called Federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations in the United States of America (FELMAUSA).  Morris as he is known by many of his friends is one of the key architects in the establishment of FELMAMUSA.

Prior to been elected as FELMAUSA General Secretary, Morris Manjue Kromah served as General Secretary for the local FELMAUSA chapter the Wisconsin Mandingo Association of Milwaukee (WIMAM)  from 2002 to 2007.  In this position, he was responsible for leading, maintaining and preparing documentations as stipulated in the constitution of WIMAM. He also maintained and recorded all minutes of meetings, in connection with the leadership, prepared and circulated the agenda before every meeting, kept the registration of the organization up to date with local, state and federal governments and maintained the list of all members current and kept detail record of attendance of all events.

Honorable Mr. Morris Kromah is career healthcare professional. He is currently working as Patient Care Specialist for Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital at the Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute and Brain Injuries and Trauma Unites caring for stroke, brain injuries and post-surgical patients. Prior to that Mr. Kromah work as Certified Clinic Medical Assistant at the Whitefish Bay Medical Center and Eastside Medical Clinic performing administrative and clinical duties.

According to his employer Morris Kromah is a hard-working, dedicated and amiable Certified Clinic Medical Assistant, who has the pleasure of helping people and patient that are vulnerable.  Dr. Nancy Reeder, a physician at Columbia St. Mary’s Prospect Clinic said he first came to work with Columbia St. Mary's Hospital after studying as clinic Medical Assistant, then completing his certification.  She said Mr. Kromah is very excited about his work, and enjoys working with patients.  He is friendly and compassionate and willing to help every patient with proud.  He shows great initiative and shares his ideas with his co-works.

She further said, Morris is able to multi-task and organizes clinic tasks effectively.  He was in the first wave of Columbia St. Mary's Hospital “Super-User” for the electronic health record, prior to its rollout at Columbia St. Mary’s clinics.  He was therefore able to serve as a resource and problem-solver at small offices and Germantown Medical Center in Germantown, Wisconsin when the system was implemented.

Morris M. Kromah is very intelligent, respectful and soft spoken and has demonstrated his interest and drive in pursuing a career in health care by taking classes at the Cardinal Stitch University – in the nursing program there-on a part-time basic, after work hours, in the evenings and on weekends.  This he has done in addition to providing for and caring for his family.

Mr. Kromah has also shown interest and concern of a wider, more global scope.  He has helped Liberian refugees both in the US and in Liberia.  He has also and provides lot of voluntary assisting and served several committees in his local Mandingo community in Milwaukee.  With his eyes on his nursing career, Mr. Kromah recently chaired 15 members Felmausa Medical Mission trip to Liberia in May of 2011 to provide free medical healthcare services to his fellow citizens.

Morris Kromah has strong analytical and organizational skills. He speaks English, French, Mandingo and some Arabic. He has excellent interpersonal, caring, leadership, and communication skills. He is familiar with Microsoft word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, yahoo site builder and Electronic health record at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital. He types at least 35 words per minutes and he has certificates in CPR and phlebotomist.

Mr. Kromah married in March 20, 2005 in N’zerekore Guinea he lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife Madusu F. Kromah, and four children Mariam Kromah 13 years, Mawah Kromah 11 years, Manjue Kromah 4 years and Ousmane Kromah 2 years
