| WAR HAS HELPED AND CAN STILL HELP " War is not the answer. If you took war as the answer, who are you gonna to be fighting?" these were some of the frustration words that were heard from Honorable Morris Dukuly, former speaker of the house in the Samuel Doe's regime which was deposed by Charles Taylor through war. " There's a lot of disunity amongst the Mandingo community" said another speaker which I agree with, but, disagree at this time.You see, unity is not the point right now. we had the chance to talk about unity a long time ago and we still have a lot of time to talk about it. Right now we are all united under one umbrella. No one has to call anybody to come aboard the ship of unity.Whether you are a Mandingo or not, you are already on board.The present problem only seems to look religious, but it's not,it's all about Mandingo People.For those who are pretending to be with us know that.If you subtract Mandingo from the problems of Liberia from 1989 up to present, there will be no problem in Liberia,but, if you add Mandingo there will always be problems. Believe me, the hatred towards Mandingo will always come in different forms and shapes. I don't think the division between the Mandingo community gave rise to the present chaos. It was premeditated or was a tme bomb.This is not a new crisis, but rather an old one that had just been ressurected. In 1989 during the earliest phase of the fourteen year civil crisis seven Muslim elders were slain to death by their neighbors in the Mosque in Butuo, Nimba County, if my memory will serve me right. I believe 100% that brothers in Africa are braver than those of us who live in the western world. they are more decisive and more determine.From now on, if we have to be peemptive, we better be.I don't think it's wise enough to sit by idly to see the lives of our brothers being taken away by some barbarians and see our property damaged.Anytime we sense trouble towards us, we have to act first and swiftly. I get disappointed and frustrated when people dwell on expired ancient proverbs, let say "FIRE CAN"T CUTOFF FIRE" wrong! just to name a few: (1)In the early 90s during president Clinton's regime The NATO led American troops stopped Milosovic from killing thousands of Muslim men and women in kosovo and its environ; (2)During the same time Mandingos And Krahns organized to form ULIMO which forced Mr. Taylor to comply with the international community after he made mockery of them several times by signing peace accords and changing his mind later for some selfish gain;(3) The American had to fight for their freedom from the British through war;(4)The Afghans had to fight to get the Russians out of their land in the 80s;(5)In the 50s and sometimes in the early 60s, the MauMau headed by the late Jomo kenyatta had to fight to drive the British and gained their independence;(6)Former president Nelson Mandela and some of buddies founded the African National Congress(ANC) to fight against the white suppressive gov't. They solve that problem etc,etc. Had it not been war against Mr. taylor, by this time, he would have still been in the Mansion in Liberia.The last war by LAURD forced him out, whether you believe it or not. Please wake up Mandingo and Muslim brothers, we are at war and war can solve our problems too,if.Who are we gonna to have dialogue with?
